ADMISSION CONDITIONS FOR CBU

Students who have graduated from any institution that is equivalent to Turkish high-schools and those who meet the application criteria below may apply for the undergraduate programs at Celal Bayar University. 
a) On the condition that they have graduated or expecting graduation from a high-school; 
* International students,

  1. - those holding Turkish citizenship by birth and renounced their Turkish citizenship, and their children under 18 who are listed in the renouncement document but documenting their certification for rights mentioned in the Turkish Citizenship Law, no: 5901, Item 7, stating that 

  2. "Anyone born, either in Turkey or abroad, in the marriage of a Turkish mother or father, is a Turkish citizen." Candidates who wish to apply within the "applications from abroad" category should examine theTurkish Citizenship Law. 

  3. - those who hold citizenship of other countries by birth and have gained the citizenship of The Republic ofTurkey/those who hold dual-citizenship,

APPLICATION DOCUMENTS

For applications the following documents must be submitted:

  1. 1) The Application form, which will be available on the Student Affairs Directorate webpage,
  2. 2) Certified copies of the following documents from the Turkish Embassy or the Turkish Consulate;
  3.     - High School Diploma and Equivalency Certificate,
  4.     - Original and copy (translated into Turkish) of the Certificate of Transcript,
  5.     - Examination results)
  6. 3) Copy of passport
  7. 4) 3 photographs taken during the last six months. The photographs should be passport photo size

Candidates who want to apply to Celal Bayar University while in a foreign country should read the announcements on the webpage of the Student Affairs Directorate. Application deadlines and conditions will be announced on the Celal Bayar University website by the Student Affairs Directorate. Candidates can apply between the dates specified in the academic calendar using the form that they can find on the website of the Student Affairs Directorate.

INTERNAL TRANSFER CONDITIONS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Foreign students can be eligible to make internal transfer to Celal Bayar University provided that their department exists at Celal Bayar University. 
If their department exists in our university, abroad internal transfer conditions should be provided and quota should be opened. 
Quotas will be published on the web page of the Students Affairs Directorate, as well as on the International Relations Office web page.

TURKISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY 


Candidates who have been accepted for enrolment at Celal Bayar university, with the exception of those who have completed their secondary education in Turkey, are required to take the Turkish Proficiency Exam, which is prepared by the Celal Bayar University Turkish Language Department. The results of the Turkish Proficiency Exam will be graded as Pass or Fail. Successful applicants may commence their courses. Those who are unsuccessful in the Turkish Proficiency Exam, after registration, will be given a one year deferment in order to improve their Turkish. Our University provides Turkish Language Courses to those students throughout the year. Those who are successful in the examination administered by Celal Bayar University at the beginning of the next academic year will be allowed to start their education. Those who are unsuccessful will have their applications rejected.

ACCOMMODATION

A number of state ( YURT-KUR) and private foundation hostels are available for international students in Manisa. Students can also rent flats in accordance with their budget too. It is usually suggested for international students that they stay in a home-like setting to facilitate their orientation with Turkish as a language and cultural element. Student homes are second best alternatives to dormitories for international students. Such houses are apartment flats which have central or isolated heating systems.

Dormitories are generally $150 or $200 in Manisa. In addition to tuition and accommodation, Students generally spend $200- $300 in a month for living expenses such as food, Transportation, Stationary, Books etc...
