The 2nd Academic Workshop Organized by MCBÜ Graduate Education Institute's Department of Women's Studies was held in the classrooms of the Graduate Education Institute.
The workshop began with a training session titled “Designing Research Questions and Research Proposals” conducted by Assoc. Prof. Ayşe Gönüllü Atakan, Head of the Department of Women's Studies at MCBÜ Graduate Education Institute, and Prof. Dr. Duygu Alptekin, Faculty Member of the Department of Sociology at MCBÜ Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
The session on “Fundamentals of Academic Writing and Plagiarism” was provided by Assoc. Prof. Sibel Kiraz from the Department of Philosophy at MCBÜ Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Mina Furat from the Department of Sociology at MCBÜ Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Dr. Ozan Ercansungur, Research Assistant from the Department of Sociology at Ege University.
Assoc. Prof. Feyda Sayan Cengiz from the Department of Political Science and International Relations at MCBÜ Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences conducted the training on “Qualitative Research Methods in Social Sciences: In-Depth Interview and Focus Group.”
Research Assistant Emine Dündar from the Department of Sociology at MCBÜ Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences presented the training on “Understanding Quantitative Data and Indicators in Social Sciences: The Case of TURKSTAT.”
The 2nd Academic Workshop concluded with a session on “Doing Literature Review in Academic Writing: Involving AI and Literature Tools” led by Moch Hisyam Putra, Senior Research Assistant at the Indonesia Social Inequality Research Center and a Master's student in the Department of Sociology at MCBÜ.
