The Universities Turkey Karate Championship, hosted by Manisa Celal Bayar University from March 21st to 23rd, concluded with great success. MCBÜ Karate Team athletes made the university proud with their outstanding performances throughout the tournament.

Yusuf Çakır became the Turkish champion with his impressive performance in the competition. Nurbade Büber also achieved a significant success by securing the second place in Turkey.

Cahide Nur Yerlikaya, Sinem Gül Duman, and Elanur Umu earned the title of Turkey’s runner-up in the Women’s Kata Team category.

Additionally, Kübra Yazıcı and Gülçin Akyıldız placed third in Turkey in their individual categories, contributing greatly to the team’s overall success.

The team’s impressive results were guided by Head Coach Prof. Dr. Pınar Güzel Gürbüz and Assistant Coach Muhammed Berk Yerlikaya, who played a major role in leading and supporting the athletes.
