Manisa Celal Bayar University has been awarded the "Certificate of Achievement in Energy Efficiency for Buildings" due to its successful efforts in energy efficiency.
The Şehit Prof. Dr. İlhan Varank Campus implemented energy efficiency measures under the Presidential Decree No. 2019/18, achieving a savings of 14-16% during the 2019-2023 period, qualifying for the "Certificate of Achievement in Energy Efficiency for Buildings."
By promoting energy savings in public buildings, the university has made significant contributions to the country's energy conservation goals through its sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives.
Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar stated, “Our university has been awarded the 'Certificate of Achievement in Energy Efficiency for Buildings' signed by the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar. It is a separate success that, despite the increase in total construction area, staff, and student numbers during the notification process, we have seen improvements in energy efficiency.” He continued, “With the Presidential Decree No. 2023/15 setting a target of 30% energy savings by the end of 2030, our university continues its efforts without slowing down. We believe that by raising awareness among users, the values of efficiency and savings will increase even further. This prestigious award is also an important step in encouraging our university in energy conservation. We will continue to advance our efforts for a sustainable future.”
