Manisa Celal Bayar University International Relations Club organized a conference on 'Çanakkale Spirit: March 18, War and Diplomacy' conference was organized.
The conference was moderated by Prof. Dr. Umut Kedikli and the speaker was Assist. Prof. Dr. Umut Kedikli moderated the conference. Kenan Tozak and Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Orkun Sürücüoğlu took part in the conference.
Lecturer. Assist. Kenan Tozak explained in detail the reasons for the Ottoman Empire's entry into World War I, the heroism of the Turkish artillery and the Nusret Mine Ship in the Çanakkale Sea Wars, as well as the courage and efforts of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and other Turkish commanders in the land wars.
Orkun Sürücüoğlu, on the other hand, evaluated the process leading up to World War I and the near and far consequences of the Gallipoli War for both the Ottoman Empire and world politics.
The conference ended with a group photo after the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the speakers.
