Rector of Manisa Celal Bayar University, Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar, participated in the Manisa Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ) Housing Introduction and Groundbreaking Ceremony, which was held with the participation of Minister of Industry and Technology, Mehmet Fatih Kacır.

In addition to Minister Kacır, the ceremony held at the Manisa OIZ MOSTEM High School was attended by Manisa Governor Vahdettin Özkan, Chairman of the Manisa OIZ Board of Directors Sait Türek, Rector of Manisa Celal Bayar University Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar, President of the Manisa Bar Association Sevgi Başak Yeşil, Manisa Police Chief Fahri Aktaş, President of the Manisa Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mehmet Yılmaz, President of the Manisa Commodity Exchange Sadık Özkasap, Chairman of the Muradiye OIZ Board Osman Kıcırcık, and other local protocol members.

The housing project aims to improve accommodation opportunities for personnel working in the Manisa OIZ and to support the sustainability of qualified labor in the region.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır stated:
"We are launching the first implementation of our new housing model developed for Organized Industrial Zones here in Manisa. With its favorable geographical location, strong logistics network, high production capacity, and qualified workforce, Manisa has become a center of attraction for both domestic and foreign investors. We plan to gradually expand this housing project, which includes 3,650 housing units, to cover 15,000 employees."

At the event, students from Manisa Celal Bayar University who won first place in TEKNOFEST TRNC 2025 presented their awards to Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır and took commemorative photos.

In her speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar said:
"Dear Minister, thank you for once again welcoming our students here. As Manisa Celal Bayar University, we are experiencing one of the most tangible examples of university-industry collaboration. The Aegean Region Career Fair we organized in February was supported primarily by the Governorship of Manisa, the Presidency of the Manisa Organized Industrial Zone, and the Manisa Chamber of Commerce and Industry as main sponsors.
