As a result of evaluations conducted by the Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation Association (MEDEK), the departments of Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, and Occupational Health and Safety at Soma Vocational School have earned full accreditation for a period of 4 years. The accreditation certificates were presented by the Chairman of the MEDEK Board of Directors, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sarıbıyık, during a ceremony held at the Seminar Hall of the Manisa Celal Bayar University Rectorate.
The ceremony was attended by Acting Director of Soma Vocational School, Lecturer Fatih Suvaydan, Head of the Property Protection and Security Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. İsrafil Şabikoğlu, Head of the Electronics and Automation Department, Dr. Faculty Member Mehmet Emin Uslu, Assoc. Prof. Dr. İlker Çetin Keskin, Lecturer Mustafa Orhan, and the School Secretary Mustafa Erbay.
Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar congratulated the accredited departments and stated, "Accreditation is an important indicator of an educational institution's compliance with certain standards and quality. The accreditation of 4 programs at Soma MYO by MEDEK not only reflects the educational qualifications of these departments but also demonstrates the strength of the university in vocational education. This achievement reflects our university's efforts to provide students with higher-quality education and the education processes aligned with industry needs."
