TÜBİTAK 4007 Turgutlu Science Festival Held

The TÜBİTAK 4007 Science Festival, organized in partnership with Manisa Celal Bayar University’s Hasan Ferdi Turgutlu Faculty of Technology, Turgutlu District National Education Directorate, and Turgutlu Science and Art Center, was held with great participation at the faculty's campus.

During the opening ceremony, speeches were delivered by District Governor Selami Kapankaya, Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Ali Demir, District National Education Director Serdar Dinçer, and Project Coordinator Mehmet Akif İnesi. The protocol members visited the workshops opened as part of the festival to observe the activities firsthand.

Prof. Dr. Ali Demir emphasized that hosting this important organization would strengthen the interaction between Manisa Celal Bayar University and the city, stating that the dissemination of science festivals by TÜBİTAK is a significant step in line with the National Technology Initiative.

As part of the event, high school students attended conferences on various topics, including "Artificial Intelligence and Technology Integration" by Prof. Dr. Tarık Kışla, "Embedded Systems and Applications in Industry" by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Uysal, and "STEM Education and Conscious Awareness" by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın.

The event featured 27 different workshops that showcased interdisciplinary work where technology and science intersect, attracting great interest from visitors. The Turgutlu Science and Art Center contributed various technological and educational materials, while the faculty supported the festival with technology-focused projects and award-winning products in partner workshops.

Participation also included Manisa Celal Bayar University Turgutlu Vocational School, Manisa Technopark, the Technology Transfer Office, and the Employment and Career Coordination Office. Approximately ten thousand people visited the festival area, including seven thousand who came with appointments from preschool, primary, secondary, and high schools, and three thousand who attended without appointments. The festival area was open to the public on the final day after two days of school visits.
