President of the Turkish Red Crescent Manisa Branch, Öner Gürsel, along with members of the Provincial Executive Board, visited Manisa Celal Bayar University (MCBÜ) Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar in her office. During the courtesy visit, the parties exchanged views on humanitarian aid efforts and social support projects aimed at university students.

During the meeting, information was shared about the Turkish Red Crescent’s “Let the Crescent Shine upon Manisa” Sacrificial Donation Campaign. It was noted that the sacrificial donations would be distributed to those in need, primarily in Türkiye, as well as in Gaza, Palestine, and other regions requiring humanitarian assistance.

As part of the visit, a cooperation protocol was signed between Manisa Celal Bayar University and the Turkish Red Crescent Manisa Branch. Within the scope of this protocol, a social support center named “Kızılay Boutique” will be established at the Şehit Prof. Dr. İlhan Varank Campus Student Center. Through this center, brand-new clothing, shoes, and various apparel items will be provided free of charge to students in need.

Additionally, it was noted that the Turkish Red Crescent Manisa Branch will contribute to the university’s Spring Festival with various activities and events. The joint efforts of both institutions aim to raise awareness of humanitarian aid and implement social responsibility projects to benefit students.
