The Turkey-U.S. Educational Commission, known as the Fulbright Commission, was established by a bilateral agreement signed between Turkey and the United States in 1949. The Commission supports educational and cultural exchange programs between Turkish and American university graduates, researchers, and scientists. The Commission’s budget is provided by contributions from both governments, and it aims to strengthen mutual understanding and respect between Turkish and U.S. citizens through cultural exchange.

The Fulbright – Kennedy Center Performing Arts and Science Fellowship is available for academics, researchers, artists, and/or scientists who are conducting research or continuing their careers in specific fields at universities and performing arts centers in Turkey.

The application deadline for the fellowship for the 2025-2026 academic year is October 15, 2024. The main fields covered by the fellowship include: Performing Arts, Public Health, Sociology, Sustainability, Sustainable Development, Urban Studies, Urban Planning, Psychology, Anthropology, Acoustics, Environmental Science, Neuroscience, Biology, Ecology, Engineering, and Civil Engineering.

This fellowship program is designed to support research and innovative, interdisciplinary projects that explore the connections between performing arts, environment, health, and well-being from the perspectives of artists and/or scientists.
