The Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA), in collaboration with the Environmental, Biodiversity, and Climate Change Working Group, and hosted by Dokuz Eylül University, will organize the "Workshop on Flora-Fauna Biodiversity in Aquatic and Terrestrial Ecosystems in the Aegean Region" in İzmir on July 12-13, 2024.

The workshop aims to evaluate the current status of biodiversity in the Aegean Region, focusing on both the preservation of ecological balance and the sustainable maintenance of the region's economic and cultural richness. It will provide an opportunity for discussions and recommendations on sustainable strategies in these areas. At the end of the workshop, the speakers' presentations will be published as a comprehensive book and shared with relevant institutions for the benefit of policy makers.
