Manisa Celal Bayar University Faculty Members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Umut Kedikli and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Yüksel, moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alpay Bizbirlik, held a panel on "Unknowns of July 15th" within the framework of the programs organized by the Governorship of Manisa within the scope of July 15th Martyrs Commemoration Democracy and National Unity Day events.

Manisa Governor Enver Ünlü, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Brig. Zafer Tombul, Brigade Commander P. Col. Zeynel Abidin Alptekin, Chief Public Prosecutor Kurtca Eker, Manisa Celal Bayar University Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar, Yunusemre District Governor Atilla Kantay, Provincial Police Chief Fahri Aktaş, protocol members, relatives of martyrs, veterans and citizens attended the panel.

The program started with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem, followed by a short video presentation of what happened in our country and Manisa on July 15th, followed by Hafiz Mehmet Gümüştepe's recitation of the Holy Quran.

In the panel moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alpay Bizbirlik, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Umut Kedikli evaluated the foreign connections and supporting states before and during July 15, while Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Yüksel made evaluations in terms of the history of coups in Turkey and developments after July 15. Moderator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alpay Bizbirlik emphasized in his closing speech that our democratic republic is an exemplary model in the Islamic world and that these values should be protected.
