The '14th of March Medical Day' was celebrated with a ceremony organized by the Faculty of Medicine at Manisa Celal Bayar University (MCBU).
The ceremony, held in honor of Medical Day, was attended by MCBU Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Ahmet Çetin, Prof. Dr. Kadir Ay, Prof. Dr. Oktay Üçer, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Artuner Deveci, President of the Manisa Chamber of Physicians Dr. Hasan Semih Bilgin, Chief Physician of Hafsa Sultan Hospital Prof. Dr. İsmet Topçu, academic and administrative staff, and numerous students.
The ceremony began with a moment of silence and the national anthem. In his speech, Prof. Dr. Artuner Deveci, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at MCBU, stated, "Our doctors and healthcare workers devote great effort every day by touching human lives. It is very meaningful to celebrate the 14th of March Medical Day as a day to honor this effort and dedication. On this occasion, I congratulate all healthcare workers on the 14th of March Medical Day."
Speaking at the ceremony, MCBU Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar emphasized the importance of the 14th of March Medical Day, saying, "Our doctors and healthcare workers work with great dedication to save human lives. On this occasion, I congratulate all healthcare workers on the 14th of March Medical Day and wish them health and well-being."
Following Rector Kibar's speech, the ceremony continued with a presentation titled "Physician Values: From Tradition to Deontology and Ethics" by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Aksu from the Department of Medical Ethics at the Faculty of Medicine, a performance by the Faculty of Medicine Folk Dance Group, and a musical performance by students from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Design, and Architecture. The ceremony concluded with a group photo session.
