Manisa Celal Bayar University and Manisa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Manisa TSO) signed a Cross-Border Cooperation Call for Proposals Protocol. Within the scope of the project, cooperation between the university and the business world aims to increase energy efficiency in manufacturing industries.
Manisa Celal Bayar University and Manisa Chamber of Commerce and Industry initiated an environmentally friendly project to integrate the business world into green transformation. The signing ceremony was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar, Manisa TSO Chairman Mehmet Yılmaz, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Kadir Ay, Project Coordination Implementation and Research Center Lecturer Dr. Emre Uygur, and Manisa TSO Project and Business Development Coordinator Mehmet Can Çakar.
Under the signed protocol, the focus is on increasing energy efficiency and promoting sustainable development in the mold making, plastics, metal processing, automotive ancillary industry, and white goods ancillary industry sectors. The aim is to create a transnational initiative to support SMEs in Mediterranean countries in transitioning to green practices. Additionally, the project aims to provide access to resources and expertise for SMEs to adopt green practices through R&D activities within the scope of the project, leveraging synergies in the Mediterranean region and increasing efforts for green transition in Manisa business world by initiating cross-border cooperation process.
