Manisa Celal Bayar University Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Kadir Ay, along with the employees of MCBU Protocol Press and Public Relations Department, visited the Manisa Journalists Association as part of the January 10th Working Journalists' Day.
During the visit to the Association President Ali Filizkan and its members, Rector Kibar extended his congratulations for the Working Journalists' Day.
In his speech during the visit, Rector Kibar emphasized the significant role of journalists in informing and enlightening the society. He highlighted that journalists contribute to the development and strengthening of democracy through their work, which is conducted with public interest in mind. Kibar stated, 'The role of journalists in sharing societal developments with the public is immense. Journalists undertake an important duty in informing the public accurately and impartially. On this occasion, I extend my congratulations to all journalists on Working Journalists' Day. I wish them success in their professional careers.' He added, 'Manisa Celal Bayar University has always maintained good relations with our press and will continue to do so. We always need the support of our press to share our university's activities and promote our institution. I hope our collaboration continues to grow.'
The President of the Journalists Association, Ali Filizkan, thanked Rector Kibar and his team for their visit. Filizkan expressed, 'It is highly important for our universities to collaborate with our press. In this regard, we appreciate the importance given to the press by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar. We are always ready for cooperation to share the activities of our university with the public.'
