Manisa Celal Bayar University was represented by 7 female and 1 male athlete in the Ünilig Karate Turkey Championship. A total of 52 universities participated in the championship held in Kırşehir, with 108 female and 105 male athletes from across Turkey showing great interest. At the end of the competitions, our University Karate Team achieved success by winning 1 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze medals, securing a place among the top four universities out of 53 in the overall standings.

Team Coach Prof. Dr. Pınar Güzel Gürbüz commented after the matches, saying, "We continue to elevate the success we achieved in previous years. Our Women's Kumite Team became champions, marking the greatest success in our university's history. All 8 student athletes who participated in the competition won medals and took their place on the podium.

We dedicate all the medals we won as a team to all our athlete siblings on the occasion of the 104th anniversary of April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day. We are ready for the World University Karate Championship to be held in Qatar at the end of this year. I would like to thank our Rector, Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar, who is always by our students' side, on behalf of all our student athletes."
